Kublai Delivery — Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Kublai Delivery ("we", "our") is the mobile driver app for the Kublai ecosystem. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how we use it, and your choices. By using Kublai Delivery, you agree to this policy.

2. Data we collect

• Account and authentication: If you sign in with Google or another method we support, we receive identifiers and profile information from the sign-in provider (e.g. email, name) and associate them with your driver account in our systems (hosted on Firebase).
• Location: With your permission, we collect device location (including in the background when you grant "Always" access) to show delivery progress, support dispatch, and improve routing-related features. You can change location permissions in iOS or Android settings.
• Delivery and operational data: We store information needed to operate deliveries, such as assignment details, status updates, timestamps, and identifiers that link activity to your account and to the store or organization you work with.
• Device and diagnostics: We may collect limited technical data (e.g. app version, device type) as needed to maintain security and fix issues.

3. How we use your data

We use the information above to:

• Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• Display and update delivery assignments and status.
• Use location as described when you grant permission, including background updates where enabled.
• Show local notifications related to assignments when you allow notifications on your device.
• Operate, secure, and improve the service; comply with applicable law.

4. Third-party services

The app relies on service providers, including:

• Google Firebase (Google): authentication, database (Firestore), and related infrastructure. Use is subject to Google's terms and privacy policies.
• Google Sign-In (Google): for signing in when you choose that option.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers only as needed to run the app, or when required by law.

5. Retention and security

We retain account and delivery-related data as long as your account is active and as needed for operations and legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data; no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Your choices and rights

You can revoke location access or notification permission in your device settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data.

Account deletion (drivers): You can delete your account directly in the Kublai Delivery app from Profile → Delete Account. The app asks you to confirm by entering your account email before deletion is processed.

If you cannot access the app, contact us at the email below and we can assist with a deletion request.
